Ever Grateful

Thanksgiving is just next week And I thought it would be good to share with you all. My Ever Grateful card.

Both of the stamps are from Companies that have closed their doors. The Wreath is from PSX and the saying is from The Angel Company.

The color's I chose were Orange, Purple, Red and Black. Most of the color's you would find around the fall of the year. One of my favorite times of the year. I used my copic markers to color this beautiful wreath. The image is stamped onto Watercolor paper.

To finish my card off I took some retired Sheer ribbon from Stampin up! and bunched it together and tied it off and then attached it to my card.

I am ever grateful for my family and my friends! Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving. Spend it with the ones you love!

My card I made using some of Ippity Stamps by Unity. Stamps I used: The Simple things And
Now and Always Stamped leaf image with Versa Mark ink for background. I used my Spellbinder dies (label 1) to created the background frame. I stamped the image from Now and Always. a couple times. Colored the images with my Copic Markers. Cut out the images I wanted to create this flower. Using double sided foam mounting tape. I attached the flower using my glue Art Tape gun. I attached two purple pieces of ribbon and then added the saying from Simple Things. Edged the paper with zig zag and sponged inked the edges.

I found a really wonderful person to buy my Ippity from. JenMarie Taylor I LOVE her work and she is so nice. Love the way she sends out the stamps.

It's like Christmas.

I think I would like to enjoy the ride.....I really don't think I could tie one on...Not this day and age.

My Nephews just turned 28, Last week. They both went on a Vacation trip to MT. I know both of them enjoyed their Birthday Trip.

And I would hope that they would have enjoyed the ride. But who knows Maybe they tied one on instead.

The Stamp set I used. Is from Ippity by Unity.

It's called Authentic Man. Super Guy stamps.
And the DP I used is October Afternoon. coloring was done with my Copic's.

I also used my Spellbinder dies and embossing folders to create this one.

Something really simple to create.

Hope you enjoyed my cards. I know my nephews really enjoy getting home made cards from me.

I've been doing this for a very long time for them.

Well not a real one. But I did manage to get one for a couple of days. I'll be working the Scrapbook Expo in St. Charles Il. on Thursday and Saturday afternoons. I'll be helping set up and take down the Paper Wizard Scrapbook Booth.

Woo Hoo!! I'll get some extra Money to spend and save some for Vacation too.

The Scrapbook Expo is at Pheasant Run in St. Charles Il.

Plus on Friday night I'm getting with some of my Girlfriends from Dekalb IL and we are going to the crop night on Friday.

Now this is going to be a Super Fun filled weekend. Not to mention a hard working weekend.

Finally things are looking up for me with my computer. I downloaded Firefox. Because Internet Explorer was not working for me. Well not the way I wanted it too.

It kept Freezing and Crashing on me. But since I downloaded Firefox. I haven't had those problems. Now it's time to get use to firefox and the way it runs.

I'll post some photo's later. Just wanted to give you all a update on what's happening with me.

Peace Within Creations

Well Hello!

I thought I would share two of my creations using the Stamp set from Stampin' Up! that I just recieved. It's called "Peace Within". I fell in love with it when I found it in the SU catalog. I just had to have it!

As you can see I created some really pretty cards with this stamp set. The top one. Is pretty Basic as far as the layout. But in color it's not. I love using my Copic Markers. Now I just have to learn to write down all the color's I used on this card and the one below. Anyway. Next time I'll do that. I borrowed a Friends Punch to create the border at the botton of the card. to add some detail. Just a couple of other details that I used to make this card pop. Was to add some extra Blades of Grass, the Black Marker Frame around the Bird & Basket. And finally tieing a Prefect bow.

Now here is the one I really LOVE!! Why? you might ask. Well I am a Cat Lover and have 2 of them living in our house. So I just had to create something with this stamp. My color choices were bright and cheerful looking. Which I think works well with this stamp image. (Very Summery Looking). I saw this layout on SCS. But I changed a few things on it. Again I borrowed a few Punches from my friend to created the clever details. The Designer Paper I found at Hobby Lobby one day and I loved the color's and so this is where I found my color choice from. Again the coloring was done using my Copic Markers.

Summer Fun!

Summer Fun! Even though in parts of USA it isn't very warm. We can still dream about the Beach.

This creations were made using a New Stamp set from http://clearandsimplestamps.com

The stamp set just came out on July 15th 2009. And these are my creations I made for the Design Team.

And I made them before I dropped the DT .

But I thought I would still share with you all my creations.

The top one. I used paper from Hobby Lobby Sand and water, Paper Studio' and the Shells and saying are part of the Stamp set.
Called "Traveller" It's really a wonderful stamp set. As you can see I colored the Shells, and I used my Copic Markers. The saying was stamped onto White Cardstock from SU WW. then placed onto Black Bazzill Cardstock. I used my Word Window punch.
My Card Base is, Navy Blue Cardstock , Bashful Blue SU cardstock. No ribbon's, or any other embellishments, Why? Cause I wanted to make something sweet and simple.

The Next one is another one of my 6x6 Scrapbook pages. My 4th one I've done since I joined the Design Team. 1 year 1/2 ago. The stamp set used is Called "Traveller" Which is filled with some really awesome stamps. As you can see so far. It has Shells, and sayings. It also has Seahorses, Palm Tree, I added a Star fish from an old greeting card. and a Star fish embellishment. And added the Sandy Beach and water. At the top left corner, this is my version of a Sun. Punched Flower by Marvy, Button Tied with Yellow Ribbon. I like adding little extra's like this. It just makes everything pop off the page.

How about a Tropical Breeze? Wouldn't feel good today? Well here in Illinois it would. Cause it's only 65 degree and a chilly wind is blowing. This card was also very fun to create. I used Versa Mark ink to stamp the Seahorse onto the Green Cardstock. Then I Cut Blue Cardstock and the Design Paper from SU to fit. And then punched out 3 squares and placed them to look like Diamonds. Stamping and coloring the Seahorses, Then cutting them out. Placing them onto 3M foam mounting tape. and then stamping the image of the Passport onto Blashful Blue Cardstock SU, and then cutting it out. All 3 items are mounted onto 3M foam mounting tape. To make them pop up a little bit.

For my finall step. I used my zig zag scissors to cut out the say. and mounted it to the top of the card using the 3M foam mounting tape.

So next time you're feeling blue or cold. Think of those Tropical Breezes!! & the warmth of the sand under your bare feet. and that warm Summer Sun beaming down onto you.

Pleasant Thoughts and Chicken Driving.....

I know Strange title. Well when you see what I've created below you'll understand the title a liitle more.

To start with this card was made using Impression Obsession Stamp set. called Pleasant Thoughts. I've adored this stamp set, Since I first saw it a while back.

So I finally ordered it and made this daring card with it. I thought I would try something new in the way of a layout.

I know I've seen something like this. I wish I could remember where I found the DP Cause I really love it and only have a few pieces of it left. I chose Navy Bazzill Cardstock for my card base. And then found some scraps of the Lite green Cardstock and the DP. Which I ran through the Cuttlebug embossing folder, Only using the negative side intead of the positive side which gives a cool affect. I used my Crop-a-dile tool to punch holes in the green cs, and then added some ribbon sheer ribbon and tied them off.

It gives a sweet look to the card. The coloring was done with Copic Markers to match the DP.

And to finish the card I stamped the saying Plesant Thought and added the DP and foam tape from 3M.

Now for the next two cards below and to the right. I saw this awesome image on SCS.

I asked her if she could share a couple of images with me. She did and I am so Happy she did!! I think this is the boom. It's a great Stamp and the designer of this stamp set. is Anna Wight from SCS aka SweetMissDaisy.

Anna is such a creative person. and I just love all the stuff she has come up with. But this is by far the BEST in my eyes.

As you can see I created this cute card using more Blues again and some of that cool DP from above. I colored the image with Copic markers and water color pencils, I even added some Pearl Button Brads for the headlights. Which I though worked out really great. The saying is my own hand writing. Just Chickin on ya........

This one I made and gave to my nephew Jacob, Who is 4, and a very creative little boy.

He is always making me little drawing of his own and giving them to me. to cherish.

So I thought I would give him something that I created just for him.

He lives on a Farm and his mom & dad both drive Fords, Plus they have Chickens and dogs. So this image work out great for him.

He loved it!!!! Smiles for ear to ear when I gave it to him.

The card it's self is made by me coloring in the background and then cutting the image out and mounting it onto 3M foam tape. to pop it up. I added the flower stems with Copic Markers and then punched some small circles using my Crop-a-dile tool. They were just the right size. I even colored the smoke from the car and mounted them on 3M foam mounting tape.

It's a totally super fun card to make,,,,,,But in my case it was the fun in giving it to someone that totally LOVED it!!

I just thought I would let you all know, That I am not with Clear And Simple Stamps. As a Design Team Member.

Why?

You might ask?

Well Since I'm a Demo for The Angel Company, They have put in our New Contract.

We can not represent another company.

Such as one that uses similar supplies, Stamps, so on and on.

Even though TAC doesn't sell Clear Stamps, They still feel that it's the same.

So I have stepped down from the Design Team. In order to meet my New Contract

Rules.

I really LOVED working with the wonderful ladies from Clear and Simple Stamps.

They have been very gracious to me.

And I will always remember them by this.

I do want to Thank all the Design Team Members for helping me.

Get out of Stamping Shell.

Each of you all have been super and I've been inspired by each of you!

I will be using this blog for Creations made with using Clear And Simple stamps as well as other companies.

Do you need a Light?

Well if you live in the Mid West you probably do. It's so cloudy here. I need a light just to see what I'm typing.

Did you know that you light up my life when you visit my Blogs. Well you do!

I made this cute "You light Up my Life card using the same Stamp set I've been talking about all week. "House Notes. From Clear And Simple Stamps.

Couple of things I did on this card that I don't usually do is, That I drew something on it. The table top for the lamp and made my own background.. I used the Marble Tech to make it.

Very simple and easy to make. Take one Plastic Clam shell box. Re-inkers 3 to 4 color's. and some marble. (in my case I used pony beads) Cardstock

Open you Clam Shell box, add re-inkers inks a couple of drops here and there. Or until you like what you see. Add Marbles, then add your cardstock cut to size you wish to use. Then shake the Clam shell box. Letting those marbles run all over your cardstock to create a cool background

Then take it out and let it dry for 15 min's. or until dry. Then add it to your card to item.

Sounds fun? Doesn't it?

June 15th is a GREAT DAY! ..... Why???

June 15th is one of the Best days around. Why? Well it's a day that Clear & Simple Stamps releases some of their Newest Stamp Set. See the samples above (At Home Collection)

The Stamp set I recieved from CSS... I just love! It's called House Notes,

The card below is made with this stamp set. As you can see I used one of my cuttlebug embossing folders. to create the background. My card base is Kraft Cardstock: And so is the middle piece of Css, I took some White Cardstock: And Palette Noir ink, and stamped the images. The used my copic Markers to color the Mailbox post and mailbox.. I then added some little pink dot flowers with my copic markers. (I wanted the feeling of being out in the country...Wild Flowers around the mailbox.) Before placing the White cardstock onto the kraft cardstock I added some Ribbon I found at Hobby Lobby awhile back. Which worked really well with the rest of the card. I also inked the outer edges of the White cardstock with Versa Magic chalk ink Ivy, then placed it on the card. Then I took some Pink Silk & Paper flowers, and a green button. and glued them together. and placed them on the card. and to finish the card I stamped the saying in Noir ink "Special Delivery"

1 more Crop for Cure Project.

A Mini Post it notebook.

I created this today. I measure my cardstock to fit around the Post it note paper. and then glued everything in place.

I stamped the outside of the Cardstock with Versa magic Chalk ink.

And then I made this tag.

Since I didn't have a Scalloped Circle punch that would fit. I made one using

Extra Jumbo Flower punch by Marvy.

Punched a few pieces out to create my own Scalloped Circle. and then added the ribbon. and mouted it with 3M foam mounting tape. Now all I need is a pen. and I'm ready.

Today is the day "Blog hop for Cure"

These are a few things I made using our little 2x2 stamp sets. I really love them. They get the message across loud and clear.

My card was made using Browns Bazzill cardstock, Pinks, Bazzill cardstock. with a twist. I first started with the Cuttlebug embossing folder and then did the Marble ink tech. I'll show this to you later..

Well then I Stamped the saying with Black Palette ink, Added the Pink ribbon with Versa Magic Chalk ink. Punched a Square scalloped, Place everything together and then added the White maker around the edges of the brown Cardstock. I really like the way it turned out!

This one I really really love!! It's simple and very cute. With just a few tool and material. I made this darling wall hanger.

My tools: Cuttlebug folder, Scalloped Circle punch, Black Coaster, Crop-a-dile. Ribbon and some Cardstock.

All of the Clear and simple stamps Design Team members are featuring cards for this challenge that they made using Bitty Blooms, handmade button embellishments from Design Team member Nicole.

To the right is one of my creations I made using 1 of those Bitty Blooms. I used I do Darling Stamp set. It's great for using for Bridal Showers or Weddings.

I used to make this darling card. Olive Cardstock, Versa Mark Water mark ink, Ribbon, Ivory Cs, Silk Flower Pink, (Spare parts) Oval Colluzzle Template, Paper pirecer, Copic Markers.

My other Creation is using the stamp set called

Diploma The stamp is really a guy image. But I turned mine into a girl.....No surgery required.....lol

The color's I used were Browns and Pinks. Which worked well with the Button.

Supplies I used to make this card. Cuttlebug Swirl folder, Martha Steward Ribbon, Making Memories Brads, Ticket Corner Punch SU, White CS, Copic Markers, Black Zig pen (for adding long hair) Bazzill Scalloped edge in White, Versa Magic Chalk ink pinks, Palette noir ink.

These cards were done a long time ago. So I thought I would bring them out for you all to see. Also these were made when I had a broken arm.
Back in 2005.

At the time these were images that I received from WRAK on SCS. Both images are from Stampin up! And I'm pretty sure they are both Retired now.

I was very much into pink way back then too.. My coloring has changed a little bit. from Primsacolor pencils to now using Copic Markers.

My style is still pretty much the same.

Oh yes as you that are my followers...You will notice I changed my banner to something a little more fitting.

After taking with Stef yesterday morning I decided to change it. And I'm happier with my choice.

Feeling better

Yes I'm finally feeling better. It all started late Tuesday evening.. and into Wednesday. I just felt bad. By Wednesday evening. I checked out for the totally evening. and went to bed. I finally woke up around 10:30 am they next day. I felt better but not good enough to go anywhere. And I needed to go out....To see my friend Stef and take her TAC order to her.

My friend Brenda told me that I should call Stef and explain to her about not being able to come.

So I did just that...Only I had to leave a message.

Stef called me back and told me not to worry about it. and I told her I would see her on Monday of next week.

So this weekend I plain on working on some DT stuff and other creations that I've wanted to get done.

Come on and Take the Challenge. Be Eco Friendly at least one day this month. Think about all the stuff you have in your house that you can created with, Old Magazines, Milk Cartons, Coffee Filters, Old Cards, Playing cards, Old postcards, Bubblewrap, Foil, Wax Paper,. Just take a look around your house to see just what you can make.
